The program

Blockchain is taught here as a protocol built rule by rule.

Each concept is the answer to the problem the previous one created. By the end, you don't memorise blockchain — you understand it.

Our approach

Three principles, applied to every lesson.

01

Protocol-by-protocol

No surveys of the market, no charts of token prices. We teach blockchain the way it was actually built — one mechanism at a time, in the order they were invented.

02

Diagram-first

Concepts are introduced visually before they are named. A diagram of the problem, then a diagram of the solution. Vocabulary follows understanding, not the other way around.

03

Problem, then solution

Every lesson opens with a question the previous one couldn't answer. The course is a conversation — each module is the answer to the one before.

Who this is for

Three readers, one course.

Curious learner

You've read 'blockchain' a hundred times and still can't define it.

You want a single, trustworthy explanation — not a YouTube rabbit hole. BF101 gives you the mental model first, the vocabulary second.

Career changer

You want a credential, not another newsletter subscription.

A structured course, an exam, and a verifiable certificate. Something a recruiter or hiring manager can actually read.

University student

Your faculty is offering DLTC and you want to know what you're in for.

Two-day bootcamp or 20-hour extended format. Either way: six modules, one exam, one credential.

Who this isn't for

A few honest notes.

We'd rather you spent your money elsewhere than be in the wrong room.

  • If you want to learn to ship a Solidity contract this week.
BF101 is a foundations course. You'll understand smart contracts conceptually, but it doesn't teach you to write production code. Look for a bootcamp.
  • If you're hunting for the next 100× coin.
There is no trading content here. None. The course will not improve your portfolio in the short term.
  • If you already have a CS degree and three years on a chain team.
Skip BF101 and wait for the intermediate track. We'll publish the first BF2xx course later this year.
